John Whittenberger Society Fund
This endowed fund was established to support activities and projects identified by the IMU Executive Director and approved by the John Whittenberger Society, as well as the efforts of the John Whittenberger Society itself. The John Whittenberger Society is the official IU Alumni Association affiliate organization for former Directors of the Indiana Memorial Union Board. [top of page]
Indiana Memorial Union Board Scholarship Fund
This endowed fund was established to support student scholarships for Indiana Memorial Union Board of Directors and Union Board Committee Members, and are awarded based upon need, academic record and performance as a member of Union Board or a Board Committee.[top of page]

Rosemary V. Tanner Scholarship Fund
This endowed fund was established to recognize a female member of Union Board who exemplifies the high standards set by Rosemary V. Tanner as an alumnus and citizen, including inspired leadership on the Union Board of Directors and in civic affairs, active involvement in community service, excellence in scholarship, and enthusiastic support of the goals of the Union Board and Indiana Memorial Union.
Rosemary Tanner was one of the first women to serve as a Director of the Indiana Memorial Union Board, and served with distinction as a member of the John Whittenberger Society Advisory Board from 1982 to 1997. [top of page]
Edward J. Pinto
Indiana Memorial Union Board Scholarship Fund
This endowed fund was established to support scholarships for students associated with Union Board of Directors and is awarded based on financial need, academic performance, and service to the Board. John K. Malkin Leadership Retreat Fund
This endowed fund was established to support general operational costs of the annual Union Board John K. Malkin Leadership Retreat, in recognition of the positive impact the retreat and Union Board experience has on IU students and alumni. John K. Malkin was a member of the Union Board of Directors from 1983 to 1984. [top of page]
Thomas B. Jelke (Graduate Student) Fund
This endowed fund was established to support Union Board graduate assistantships and graduate assistant professional development. Awards are based upon need, a minimum grade point average, and evidence of leadership and good character. Thomas B. Jelke was a Union Board doctoral graduate assistant from 1996 to 2000. Milton J. Fineberg Scholarship
This endowed fund was established to offer scholarships to outstanding Union Board members who exemplify the high standards set by Milton J. Fineberg as a student and alumnus, including exemplary leadership on the Union Board of Directors and enthusiastic support of the goals of Union Board and the Indiana Memorial Union. Milton J. "Josh" Fineberg served with distinction as a Union Board Director from 1933 to 1936, and served as Vice President from 1934 to 1935, and President from 1935 to 1936. [top of page]
Ward G. Biddle Student Employee Recognition Fund
This endowed fund was established for general support of an annual reception, awards and recognition items to honor and recognize Indiana Memorial Union student employees. Ward G. Biddle, first Director of the Union, was instrumental to IU's growth and development in a variety of positions including Comptroller, Treasurer, Vice President, and Secretary to the Board of Trustees during the formative years in the institution's history. The Biddle Hotel & Conference Center is named in honor of Ward G. Biddle's contributions to Indiana University. [top of page]
Indiana Memorial Union Art Guild Fund
This endowed fund was established for the conservation and restoration of the extensive collection of art and antiquities within the Union. This collection, begun in 1923 when T. C. Steele donated six paintings to Union Board, now represents over 1,200 pieces of two- and three-dimensional art and antiquities from distinguished Indiana artists. [top of page]
C. Robert Burks Bowling Scholarship
This endowed fund was established to support scholarships for a student who is or will be an active member of the IU Men's or Women's Bowling Teams. C. Robert Burks was a dedicated employee of the Indiana Memorial Union for over 40 years-with significant leadership offered as Games Area Manager from 1965 until his retirement in 1997. [top of page]
IU Outdoor Adventures Memorial Scholarship Fund
This endowed fund was established to offer a scholarship to a student active in IU Outdoor Adventures, and is awarded based on financial need, academic performance, commitment to volunteerism and community service, and evidence of leadership characteristics and qualities. The late Ryan Bullerdick was instrumental in the overall success of the IU Outdoor Adventures program. The scholarship is designed to commend his dedication to community service and volunteerism while a student at IU. [top of page]
