The Sodexo Experience!
The Sodexo Experience recognizes and reinforces the great behaviors that are the keys to our success. This recognition program identifies and REWARDS those employees who embody many of the simple things our customers expect of us. A smile, a greeting, and a thank you are part of the equation for great customer service. These behaviors paired with efficiency and organization produce an excellent experience for our customers. Featured below are the winners of our first SODEXO EXPERIENCE. We congratulate these stellar, hard working employees!
IMU Catering Services Partners with Pets Alive at the inaugural Furball!
Pet lovers gathered in downtown Bloomington’s Fountain Square Ballroom Saturday night for Pets ALIVE’s annual fundraising dinner, where canine models strutted in the latest doggie fashions.
The inaugural Fur Ball gala provided a chance for the organization to celebrate its 30,000 spay/neuter surgeries on dogs and cats since opening its clinic in 2005. Tickets were sold out before the event. There was a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Pets ALIVE clinic. London Dog sponsored the canine fashion show.
Pets ALIVE seeks to end pet overpopulation in south-central Indiana with low-cost spay/neuter services. The group relies on grants and donations to keep surgeries affordable.

Dining Services' Steven Mangan Receives National Award
The Sodexo Foundation named IMU Dining Services’ Steven Mangan for fighting hunger. “Each year the Sodexo Foundation recognizes Sodexo employees who exemplify the company’s service spirit and help break the cycle of poverty and hunger in America,” said Stephen J. Brady, president of the Sodexo Foundation. “We are proud to recognize Steven Mangan as a ‘Hero of Everyday Life’ for 2008.”
Mangan has led Sodexo and Indiana University in three years of worth on anti-hunger programs, like supporting Hoosier Hills Food Bank donating more than 15,000 pounds of surplus food.
Mangan also coordinates food drives on campus collecting more than two and a half tons of canned food.
An active member of the local food bank’s board, Mangan is an instrumental force behind the organizations search for a larger facility.
As part of the award, the Sodexo Foundation also gives a $5,000 grant in the name of each Hero of Everyday Life to the hunger-related charity of their choice. Mangan has selected Hoosier Hills Food Bank in Bloomington, Indiana as the recipient of the grant.
