Steve Mangan, General Manager
Steve Mangan brings over 25 years experience to the IMU. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Certified Executive Chef, and experienced restauranteur, he enjoys bringing great food to varied venues at the IMU. Mangan enjoys working with young adults and exposing them to new tastes and experiences. Living in Bloomington with his wife Betsy, he enjoys bicycling, and many types of musical endeavors. From healthy and fresh to comforting and filling, the Union has your tastes in mind and it shows in the variety of our menu.
Steve Richards, Operations Director
Steve Richards, Retail Operations Director at the IMU, is a dining services veteran with over 35 years in the industry. He is a graduate of Michigan State University, focusing on hotel and restaurant management. From airline catering to corporate services, Richards brings experience and enthusiasm to the IMU, an environment that he finds exciting and rewarding. In his spare time, Richards enjoys golfing, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
Bartholomew Perry, Catering Director
Bartholomew Perry is no stranger to the dining/catering business. When he started 30 years ago as a dishwasher in Bloomington. Bart began on an exciting professional journey that has led him to his current position as the Catering Director for the IMU. As a long-time Executive Chef and General Manager for several large foodservice operations, his experiences have allowed him to see an operation with the big picture in mind, and his Bloomington background helps him to understand what the Union is all about.Bart has worked in many diverse enviroments from Islands in the South Pacfic to Las Vegas .Outside of the IMU, Bart enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, and mastering the grill.
