IU Outdoor Adventures offers a variety of outdoor experiences such as backpacking, rafting, kayaking, rock climbing, skydiving, skiing, and caving. There's something for everyone from the beginner to the experienced adventurer.

We enhance the lives of IU students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members through outdoor adventure.

We offer day trips to Bloomington's beautiful Lake Monroe and the hidden caverns of Southern Indiana and long distance trips from the California coast to the Florida Keys.

R-1 Series

Gain hands-on experience in the outdoor clasroom

IU Outdoor Adventures, in partnership with the IU School of HPER, offers R-110 courses to give students for-credit, hands-on experience in outdoor classrooms. We teach everything from backpacking and ice climbing to kayaking.

IUOA funds memorial scholarship at IUB.

The IU Outdoor Adventures Memorial Scholarship will reward a full-time IU Bloomington junior who is involved in IUOA and has exhibited a commitment to volunteerism, friendship, and the IUOA.

Each annual recipient will receive a $500 scholarship. The goal is to raise a minimum of $10,000 over the next two years.
