Beginning Pottery - Wheel
Instructor: Amanda Weigl
Cost: $85 for IUB students; $90 for non-students

- Summer Session 2: Tuesdays, July 8–Aug.12, 6–8 p.m.
- Fall Session 1: Tuesdays, Sept. 9–Oct. 14, 6-8 p.m.
- Fall Session 2: Tuesdays, Oct. 28–Dec. 9, 6-8 p.m.
Learn basic techniques to work on the wheel and hand-building. We will focus on functional dinnerware and vessels. Participants will finish their pieces by glazing and firing them. Clay is available for purchase at the Back Alley. All other materials are included in the registration fee. Participation: Minimum 3, Maximum 7.

Beginning Pottery - Hand-Building

- Fall Session 2: Wednesdays, Oct.29–Dec. 10, 6-8 p.m.
Creative Hand building will cover basic coil, pinch, slab, and mold making techniques with a concentration on bowl and cup forms. Students will also learn how to use the slab roller and extruder. Participation: Minimum 3, Maximum 10.

Intermediate Pottery

- Fall Session 2: Thursdays, Oct. 30–Dec. 11, 6-8 p.m.
Expound into intermediate ceramics with lidded jars, and learn to throw larger & altered pieces. Clay is available for purchase at the Back Alley. All other materials are included in the registration fee. Participation: Minimum 3, Maximum 7.
