Black & White Darkroom
Instructor: David Derkacy
Cost: $85 for IUB students; $90 general

Learn to make a great black and white picture. Gain hands-on experience in our updated darkroom developing your own film and enlarging pictures. Bring your own camera to all classes. You may use 35mm, single lens reflex (SLR), point-and-shoot, and medium format cameras. Class fee includes chemicals and paper. Participants must provide their own film and camera.
Participation: Minimum 3, Maximum 5.

Summer Session: Tuesdays, July 8–Aug. 12, 6–8 p.m.

Fall Session 1: Tuesdays, Sept. 9–Oct. 14, 6–8 p.m.

Fall Session 2: Tuesdays, Oct. 28–Dec. 9, 6–8 p.m.

Photography Basics

Learn how to operate your camera creatively in this hands-on, how-to class. Create great pictures by using composition, lighting, filters, flash, shutter speeds and much more. Short videos will be shown in class for inspiration. Bring your camera to all classes. You may use any 35mm camera (point and shoot or SLR), or any digital camera. Expect assignments each week.
Participation: Minimum 3, Maximum 15.

Fall Session 1: Thursdays, Sept. 11–Oct.16, 6–8 p.m.
