Union Studios offers independent studio memberships, providing studio space to those who have taken classes with Union Studios or who have sufficient ceramics or darkroom experience.

Ceramics Membership

May 2 - August 22
$85 for IUB students; $90 for non-students; $45 with purchase of ceramics class.

• Memberships last all semester and include storage space, glaze, and kiln firing in the registration fee. (Clay must be purchased separately.)
• The studio is open anytime the Back Alley is open, except during posted class and workshop times.
• Studio space in the ceramics studio is available on a first come, first serve basis. Participation: Maximum 30

Darkroom Membership

May 2 - August 22
Cost: $85 for IUB students; $90 for non-students; $45 with purchase of Black & White Darkroom class.

• Memberships last all semester and include chemicals and storage space. You provide your own paper and film.
• The darkroom is open anytime the Back Alley is open, except during posted class and workshop times.
• Studio space in the darkroom is available on a first come, first serve basis. Participation: Maximum 20

Partial Memberships
Partial memberships are available to those who are also enrolled in ceramics or dark room class. Persons wishing to purchase a partial membership must have enough experience to use the facilities on their own. Cost: $45 plus a class enrollment.
